A new concept for a Pub
2025 sees us introduce a new concept for our pub and with that, a new fun experience awaits.
We are excited to be the first country pub in the UK to install self pour tap technology behind our bar, inviting customers to pour their own. This innovation has enabled us to probably be the only pub around to be lowering beer prices whilst another benefit is that we are now also able to keep the pub open all day, every day over the summer by inviting customers to self-serve, both with beer and cider pumps but also with homemade food, coffee, soft drinks and snacks all available from our micro market.
We are still around to give a hand and serve you if needed, there are just fewer of us and with a new self-serve approach that will hopefully keep the pub an affordable place to enjoy.
Weekend evenings are lively, bringing campsite guests and locals together, with music, quizzes and games. Midweek is very friendly, with families, dogs, games to hand and everyone welcome.
Micro Market
Our self-scan micro-market adds another new experience for customers to enjoy, adding to the hospitality of the Lincolnshire Wolds. The micro market is open from 9am every day.
With fresh coffee, soft drinks, cakes and snacks alongside freshly made sandwiches, sausage rolls and pastries from our kitchen our micro market will bring a convenient facility from which to grab a snack, for eating in or on the go.
The micro market is a way for us offer our beautiful indoor and outdoor facilities whilst connecting our visitors to local artisan suppliers so that they can sample their tasty and unusual food made in and around the local area.
Our Food
2025 sees us introduce a new concept for our pub.
Food is available all day, every day, from April to the end of September.
Through our micro market we offer freshly baked and locally or house made pastries, rolls, baguettes, salads and deli items as well as cakes, confectionary, groceries, our homemade ice cream and many drinks. The micro market is self serve and open all day, every day from 9am and features a selection of local food produce made in the area.
In the evening we also have a street food style eat in or take out food service that is homemade, delicious and great value.
Food Menus
We no longer offer table bookings but with plenty of tables and quickish food we now work on a first come, first served basis. Pizza dough is freshly made and we may run out.

Pop Up Food Events

We welcome well behaved dogs in most areas. We try to find owners a place where their dog can settle happily.
Children & Games
We are a friendly type of pub suitable for all ages. With quiz games, puzzles and toddler's toys we have customers of all ages often playing games.
Toilets, Babies & Accessibility
Unfortunately this is an old building so we have slightly limited access. We have baby changing facilities in the ladies (sorry about that) High chairs are available.
WIFI
There is free WIFI throughout the pub and beer garden areas. 4G coverage is patchy depending on your network and 5G, dream on for now. You can escape your phone, don't tell the kids.
